do not take the serial from a user guideNever take the serial number from any printed paperwork or user guides, since this may not match the actual Vauxhall radio fitted to the car.  Instead, take the serial number from either a label or an engraving on the top or side of your Vauxhall stereo, to ensure the supplied Vauxhall radio code is accurate.

By using our online Vauxhall stereo decoding service, you not only save yourself money, but also time and the additional hassle involved. Most vehicle main dealers will require you to book an appointment and take the car and paperwork (v5 logbook) into them before they apply for your radio code.   Once they do apply for the code, 9/10 times it will be based on your vehicle registration or VIN number of the car itself, which is fine if you have owned your car from new. However, receiving the stereo code days later only to find that it did not work is yet another inconvenience.

There are a number of reasons why a radio code based on your vehicle registration or vin number may not work, including:

At Radio-Code, we don't provide stereo codes based on the car, instead we provide the code based on the individual and unique serial number of your car radio, regardless of what it was fitted to originally.  Our stereo codes have proven to be more accurate than main dealer's because of this.

What our customers have to say...

Just wanted to say a quick thank you! My parents car unexpectedly needed a new battery which left them with the radio needing a code that they didn't have! So having driven 250 miles to visit me it was superb to be able to get their unlock code from your site before they left to drive home! Within moments it was all working again! So I thank you, as does my mum and I'm certain Dad does too! Brilliant . Marcus Hann

To whom it may concern - Just want to thank you for obtaining me the code for my Citroen. After speaking to one of your advisors, I was also provided alternative codes for my radio, as I could not read the last digit properly. I provided the original request from the SN and with this I was unable to input my code, so after checking again with the serial number, I was then prompted with an alternative code. After waiting for the radio to re-set itself, I was then able to have another go of inputting the alternative code. From this, I am now able to listen to my music in the car. Thanks a lot SWS for the understanding of lost codes for us car users around the UK Regards Jay.. Jay.

Just wanted to say thanks - the code provided worked brilliantly!. Michael Henson
