Location of Serial No. on Sony Stereos

do not take the serial from a user guideNever take the serial number from any printed paperwork or user guides, since this may not match the actual Sony radio fitted to the car.  Instead, take the serial number from either a label or an engraving on the top or side of your Sony stereo, to ensure the supplied Sony radio code is accurate.

How to Decode your Car Radio

  1. First remove the radio from the car. Our removal guides should help with this.

  2. Locate the serial number, using the illustration(s) as a guide

  3. Enter the serial number into the Sony radio code search

Once you receive the code, you can use our Free Radio Code Entry Help section to assist you with entering the code.

By using our online Sony radio decoding service, you not only save yourself money, but also time and the additional hassle involved. At Radio-Code, we don't provide radio codes based on the car, instead we provide the code based on the individual and unique serial number of the car radio, regardless of what it was fitted to originally.  Our radio codes have proven to be more accurate than main dealer's because of this.
