do not take the serial from a user guideNever take the serial number from any printed paperwork or user guides, since this may not match the actual Honda radio fitted to the car.  Instead, take the serial number from either a label or an engraving on the top or side of your Honda stereo, to ensure the supplied Honda radio code is accurate.

By using our online Honda radio decoding service, you not only save yourself money, but also time and the additional hassle involved. Most vehicle main dealers will require you to book an appointment and take the car and paperwork (v5 logbook) into them before they apply for the radio code.   Once they do apply for the code, 9/10 times it will be based on your vehicle registration or VIN number of the car itself, which is fine if you have owned the car from new. However, receiving the radio code days later only to find that it did not work is yet another inconvenience.

There are a number of reasons why a stereo code based on the vehicle registration or vin number may not work, including:

At Radio-Code, we don't provide radio codes based on the car, instead we provide the code based on the individual and unique serial number of the car radio, regardless of what it was fitted to originally.  Our radio codes have proven to be more accurate than main dealer's because of this.

Thanks for the trouble taken with my Volvo radio today, complicated through no fault of yours. It would have been easy for you to have walked away from the obviously less-than-profitable job. Throughout, you showed that you were determined to fix it. You offer and deliver a superb serve - rare in the motor trade. . Nigel Glass

I came across a number of web sites that give radio codes but liked yours as it showed me how to find the serial number and how to remove the radio in a simple way that even I could understand. I entered the serial number and recieved teh code with no problem, but knowing my luck it was unlikely to work. How wrong i was. A brilliant web site and well done, thanks. Colin Pearson
