do not take the serial from a user guideNever take the serial number from any printed paperwork or user guides, since this may not match the actual Honda radio fitted to the car.  Instead, take the serial number from either a label or an engraving on the top or side of your Honda stereo, to ensure the supplied Honda radio code is accurate.

By using our online Honda radio decoding service, you not only save yourself money, but also time and the additional hassle involved. Most vehicle main dealers will require you to book an appointment and take the car and paperwork (v5 logbook) into them before they apply for the radio code.   Once they do apply for the code, 9/10 times it will be based on your vehicle registration or VIN number of the car itself, which is fine if you have owned the car from new. However, receiving the radio code days later only to find that it did not work is yet another inconvenience.

There are a number of reasons why a stereo code based on the vehicle registration or vin number may not work, including:

At Radio-Code, we don't provide radio codes based on the car, instead we provide the code based on the individual and unique serial number of the car radio, regardless of what it was fitted to originally.  Our radio codes have proven to be more accurate than main dealer's because of this.

What our customers have to say...

Thanks so much for the prompt service for my Alfa Spider. My local dealer wanted to see the car and V5, and another website wanted me to send the unit to them ! Within an hour you emailed me the code and it worked first time !. Pete Honey

spot on many thanks I am now happy.. Peter Creamer

Hi there, Thanks for this, you have a truly wonderful service here, quick and easy to use. I thought I would have to buy a new stereo! Kind regards,. Jon Huxley

Thank you for your expedient service. We used the instructions as given on your website for removing the radio and obtained the serial number that way without having to disconnect the wires. To think we went several months without the use of the radio expecting to be a costly business seems quite funny now. This was cheap and easy. Thanks again!. M Chenery

Just a note to say I was very pleased with the service and my cd/radio is now working fine. Clive Swindell
