How to Decode your Car Radio

1. First remove the radio from the car. Our removal guides should help with this.
   
   
2. Locate the serial number, using the illustration(s) as a guide
   
   
3. Enter the serial number into the Delco radio code search
   
   
4. If available, you will be given the option to purchase your code along with delivery information

Delco Serial Number's

Delco car radios will normally contain a 14 digit serial number which can be found either printed on a label or engraved on the side of the unit.

These serials are only visible once the Delco radio has been removed from the vehicle.

Examples of serials include:

Additional information about Delco radio codes and decoding

Using our Delco stereo code service, you will not only be saving yourself money, but also the additional time which can be involved in trying to get your code from a vehicle main dealer. Most main dealers will request that you first book in your car with them, along with having to take proof of ownership along before they apply for the Delco code.
Under most circumastances the code they supply will be derived frome either the vehicle registration or the Chassis number. If the radio has been replaced at any stage in its lifetime, this will be the incorrect code.

There are a various reasons why a stereo code based on the vehicle chassis number or registration may not work, these include:

• The existing unit was changed under manufacturer warranty.
• The car radio was changed for an improved model, i.e. tape to CD player.
• A used car dealer changed the unit before selling the vehicle.
