do not take the serial from a user guideNever take the serial number from any printed paperwork or user guides, since this may not match the actual BMW radio fitted to the car.  Instead, take the serial number from either a label or an engraving on the top or side of your BMW stereo, to ensure the supplied BMW radio code is accurate.

Further information on decoding your BMW car radio.

Using our BMW stereo decoding system, you are not only saving money, but also time and the hassle which is involved. Most vehicle main dealers require you to book in your vehicle and take the car and proof of ownership along before they apply for the radio code.
Usually the code will be based on your vehicle registration or Chassis number which can mean you are not getting the code for the current unit fitted to the car, especially if the radio has been replaced at any stage in its lifetime.

There are a number of reasons why a radio code based on the vehicles chassis number or registration may not work, these include:

At Radio-Code, we provide stereo codes based on the unique serial number of the car radio, regardless of what it was fitted to originally.  Our stereo codes have proven to be more accurate than main dealer's because of this.

What our customers have to say...

Thank you VERY much. My car had to have its battery replaced at the last service, and despite making sure I had all the original paperwork which included the radio code, it just didn't work. It seems the previous owner to me had replaced his radio and not noted the new code. I travel from Fife to Glasgow for work on a regular basis, and the 2 hour journey with rush hour jams was becoming excruciating without and music to listen to -- or traffic reports to help me avoid the bad areas. Thanks once again for this valuable service. I now have music in my car! .

We have used your on-line radio code service today for the first time. We wish to say Thank You to you for an excellent service. We found your service very efficient . We will most certainly be using your services again. Thank You. Barker Mills

Hi from Canada, your service is great, it took me 5 minutes to pull the radio out and less than 2 minutes to get the code and it cost 4 times less than what the dealer was asking. Thanks a lot.. Luc Brousseau

I came across a number of web sites that give radio codes but liked yours as it showed me how to find the serial number and how to remove the radio in a simple way that even I could understand. I entered the serial number and recieved teh code with no problem, but knowing my luck it was unlikely to work. How wrong i was. A brilliant web site and well done, thanks. Colin Pearson

Thank you very much for the radio code. Now I have that works. Thanks again. Ian Street
