Ford FIC Serial Number Location Guide
Once you have successfully removed your car radio, Locate the serial number by inspecting the top and right hand side of the radio.
An example of serial numbers commonly found on Ford FIC Car Radios :

The Ford 4500 RDS Unit found in late model fiesta's does not need to be removed from the vehicle to obtain the serial number, simply turn on the radio, hold down button 6 and press 2. The serial will be shown allowing you to easily get your ford radio code
Before getting a ford code we recommend you first ensure your radio is not blocked. Simply turn the radio on, and try to enter the first digit of any code "ONLY THE FIRST DIGIT" If this is ok, immediatly turn the radio off, your are now ok to order a code. If you find however that you are unable to enter any digits, leave your radio powered up for 1 hour continuously to unlock itself. If this fails the unit may need decoding.
