do not take the serial from a user guideNever take the serial number from any printed paperwork or user guides, since this may not match the actual Alpine radio fitted to the car.  Instead, take the serial number from either a label or an engraving on the top or side of your Alpine stereo, to ensure the supplied Alpine radio code is accurate.

Having replaced the battery on my Focus, them found that there was no radio code in any of the original sales documentation. Ford wanted £20 to get the code, which considering they had not supplied in the first place is a cheek. Once I found the serial no. then went on line to ASW and typed in the no. got a reply within a few seconds. Went out to the car inserted the code and bingo. Excellent service and for a quarter of the price. Well done. Thanks

U should give a 10 out of 5 option or something like that! I was really impressed with how quickly the code arrived as soon as the transaction went through! I just waited for my 30min radio count down and as soon as i punched it in, the sound came to life. It was for a Ford Fiesta 2005 model! Well done guys, keep it that way!

There are a various reasons why a stereo code based on the vehicle chassis number or registration may not work, these include:
