Mercedes car radios will normally contain a 14 digit serial number which can be found either printed on a label or engraved on the side of the unit.

These serials are only visible once the Mercedes radio has been removed from the vehicle.

1998 Mercedes S280, Merc don't have the code on their system. Got the Mercedes Benz radio out and got the SN and just typed it in. Your system said it was an Alpine so I went through the procedure got the code online.. BINGO..working, really pleased with the service.. Paul Owen
