do not take the serial from a user guideNever take the serial number from any printed paperwork or user guides, since this may not match the actual Kenwood radio fitted to the car.  Instead, take the serial number from either a label or an engraving on the top or side of your Kenwood stereo, to ensure the supplied Kenwood radio code is accurate.

Further information on decoding your Kenwood car radio.

Using our Kenwood radio decoding system, you are not only saving money, but also time and the hassle which is involved. Most vehicle main dealers require you to book in your vehicle and take the car and proof of ownership along before they apply for the radio code.
Usually the code will be based on your vehicle registration or Chassis number which can mean you are not getting the code for the current unit fitted to the car, especially if the radio has been replaced at any stage in its lifetime.

There are a number of reasons why a stereo code based on the vehicles chassis number or registration may not work, these include:

At Radio-Code, we provide radio codes based on the unique serial number of the car radio, regardless of what it was fitted to originally.  Our radio codes have proven to be more accurate than main dealer's because of this.

What our customers have to say...

Hello Radio Code Thank you so much for my code, it worked first time and I am a very happy girl :-) Fantastic service, fast very reasonable cost, best on the net. I can't believe that manufacturers want to charge so much, its really outrageous. Shall certainly recommend you to anyone who has the same problem. Thanks once again. Carmel Donnelly

Sam I cant thank you enough for contacting me with the right code, sorry for messing you around and sending the wrong code to you,but after giving you all the serial numbers on the Radio your email was with me within a matter of minutes with the correct code, I patched in the code and now I'm with music again. thank you once again for kind and polite manner in which you helped me out even tho I gave you the wrong code thanks again Rob. Kind Regards. Robert Elvis Wilkinson

hi just quick thank you note, the code you supplied worked perfectly.the radio was sold as having a code, but was given as 1707 as you know codes only contain numbers 1-6 so there is no way of inputting a 0 or 7. also the radio was on an error 6 message,so I only had one entry attempt available. if I got it wrong the unit would lock up.best regards. John Mckean
