do not take the serial from a user guideNever take the serial number from any printed paperwork or user guides, since this may not match the actual Delco radio fitted to the car.  Instead, take the serial number from either a label or an engraving on the top or side of your Delco stereo, to ensure the supplied Delco radio code is accurate.

Additional information about Delco radio codes and decoding

Using our Delco stereo code service, you will not only be saving yourself money, but also the additional time which can be involved in trying to get your code from a vehicle main dealer. Most main dealers will request that you first book in your car with them, along with having to take proof of ownership along before they apply for the Delco code.
Under most circumastances the code they supply will be derived frome either the vehicle registration or the Chassis number. If the radio has been replaced at any stage in its lifetime, this will be the incorrect code.

There are a various reasons why a stereo code based on the vehicle chassis number or registration may not work, these include:

At Radio-Code, we provide radio codes based on the unique serial number of your unit.  Our stereo codes have proven to be more accurate because of this.

What our customers have to say...

Instructions were spot on and the code worked a treat. Thank you very much for the service.. Tony

Great service! Code received. As 'instant' as it says on the tin! Even more importantly - it works! Good value, even at the new price. The hints on how to enter the code also much appreciated, as no manual to hand. My 11-year old BMW is now restored to 'as original' condition with a proper BMW Radio/CD to replace the nasty after-market unit a previous owner had added. The guy who sold me the BMW/Blaupunkt unit reckoned it didn't need a code. I think he was confusing 'radio code' with the item being 'coded' (in BMW speak) to the vehicle, as some later BMWs have. I was sceptical, but went ahead with the purchase anyway. Without your system, the purchase would have been wasted, or a very expensive trip to the dealer (who would probably just pop round the back and quickly go online to your site anyway!). Thanks. Pleasure to be a customer with you. Real pleased I found your site. . Henry

Thanks very much it worked fine. Michael Toogood

Hi I was sceptical about this working on my Vauxhall CDR 300 but I have to say it worked perfect. Even the code given to me by the main dealer didn't work but I guess that is because it says 'radio code 6184' and the bit that says 'cd code is blank'. I think it must have had this unit fitted as an upgrade. Anyway it worked so great stuff and thank you!. Keith

Just to say thanks. So easy, simple and quick. A very happy customer. If everything in life were as easy as this. Pat Hynes
